Best Locations in South Florida to Propose

Keeping in mind all the proposals that I have shot, I have composed a list of my top 4 favorite locations to pop the question in South Florida! 

There are four main things I consider while looking for a proposal location; history of the couple, time of day, a pretty background and accessibility. Special first date spots and your s/o’s other favorite places can be a great start to planning a proposal. Once you have a good idea of where to start, you can then pick the most photogenic area and time of day. I usually like to recommend a sunset proposal, that way the lighting is nice and golden and you can take your s/o out to dinner after! 

It is also important to find out if your other half would prefer public displays of affection by proposing in a very public area or maybe they prefer a more private moment at home or in the middle of nowhere. 

The clock tower on Worth Ave is what I consider to be a classic South Florida proposal location. The clock makes a great backdrop for any couple session and getting down on one knee in the center of the tower creates the perfect shot, worthy of first place on this list. Worth Ave is a great location where you can get some diverse backgrounds and styled shots. My favorite photo opts on Palm Beach Island include the clock tower, the beach, Palm Beach Memorial Fountain, and along the streets of Worth Avenue. 

Top 4 Proposal Locations 

1. Worth Avenue Clock Tower

As I mentioned previously, nothing compares to a sunset at the beach. With our opportune access to beaches all around us, this location was a must add to any South Florida proposals list. My favorites include the beaches of Palm Beach Island, Gulfstream Park, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Boynton Beach Inlet, DuBois Park, and Blowing Rocks Preserve.

2. The Beach

If you are looking for an indoor proposal, the Norton Museum of Art is an elegant option with diverse backgrounds and continuously changing special exhibits. They also have a sculpture garden open year round. There are new exhibits that tour every 6 months! And after the proposal you can head over to the Restoration Hardware rooftop for dessert and champagne to celebrate. 

3. Norton Museum

From Riverbend to Johnathan Dickinson there are a variety of parks and preserves that provide a serene landscape perfect for any nature lover’s proposal. Other great nature walk options include Delray Oaks Natural Area, Okeeheelee Park, and John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. 

4. Nature

My goal with proposal shoots is for them to be a surprise, memorable, fun, and romantic. This is a milestone in your life that you will look back on for years to come and my job is to capture that as best I can. I hope this list gave you some ideas on proposal locations!
